Calendar of Events 2011

January 13th—Friends’ Annual Meeting.  Complimentary Dinner; Membership Drive; Recognition of Community and Friends’ Volunteers; Election of Officers for 2011.  Starts at 6:30 pm at the FOTL Hall.

January 15th—Health and Beauty Fair.  Food; Drawings; Demonstrations; Vendors—all slated toward health and beauty.  Hours 10 am - 4 pm at the FOTL Hall.

February 12th—Sweetheart Box Social.  For middle and high school students, and interested adults.  Come and bid on the box of your choice to become the partner, for “lunch and the dance,”of the girl that made it.  Hours 11 am - 3 pm at the FOTL Hall

February 26th—Bus Trip to Northwest Flower and Garden Show & Pike Place Market.  Ticket Cost $18.  Bus leaves FOTL Hall at 9:00 am returns 5:00 pm.

March 5th—Bus Trip to Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup.  Ticket Cost $15.  Bus leaves FOTL Hall at 9:00 am returns 5:00 pm.

March 17th—Annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner.  Admission $7.50.  Hours 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at the FOTL Hall.

April 1st—Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.  For children and their parents.  Come and help paint the Roses Red!  Admission $5.  Hours 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.

April 16th—Third Annual Community Garage Sale.  Luncheonette will be open; Tables $10 each.  Great way to get rid of all that unwanted stuff, or to get the stuff you’ve always wanted.  Hours 10 am - 4 pm at FOTL Hall.

May 19th—Dinner, Art Show & Sale.  Come find  wonderful pieces of art for your home, or as gifts.  Admission $7.50.  Hours 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the FOTL Hall.

May 30th—Memorial Day Potluck and Remembrance.  Bring the dish of your choice to share with others.  Potluck  will be served from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at the FOTL Hall.  Remembrance will begin at 2:00 pm at the Oakville Pioneer Cemetery ending with a moment of silence at 3:00 pm.

June 18th—FOTL Magic Show.  This is an event for all ages.  Come and enjoy the magic that is awe inspiring.  Admission $5, children free when accompanied by adult.  Hours 7:00 pm - 9 pm (with an intermission) at the FOTL Hall.

July 2nd—4th of July Parade Pancake Breakfast.  Fill up on your carbohydrates before the big parade begins!  Admission $4.  Hours 8:00 am - 10:30 am at the FOTL Hall.

July 4th—Squirrelly Days Begin.

August 13th - September 10th—Squirrels on display in downtown Oakville.  Squirrel decorating winners announced August 13th.

September 10th—”Z” Cafe Buffet with everything Zucchini.  Hours 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.

September 10th—Squirrelly Days Auction.  Hours 3:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.

September 17th—FOTL Bus Trip to Country Village.  Ticket cost $18.  Bus leaves FOTL Hall at 9:00 am returns 5:00 pm.

September 24th—Friends Second Annual Quilt Show and Craft Fare.  This is the place to get all your holiday stuff.  Luncheonette open.  Tables $10 each.  Hours 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.

October 15th—Turkey Talent Show.  All proceeds go to the local Oakville Food Bank.  Great entertainment at a great price!  Admission $5.00 + 5 food items.  Hours 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.

October 22nd—FOTL Bus Trip to West Sound Quilter’s Quilt Show, Kitsap County Fairgrounds.  Ticket cost $18.  Bus leaves FOTL Hall at 9:00 am returns 5:00 pm.

October 31st—Monster’s Ball.  For kids of all ages—come and have a ghoulish good time.  Food tickets $5.00.  Hours 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.

November 19th—FOTL Christmas Bazaar.  Great place to get one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone.  Luncheonette will be open.  Giving Tree.  Tables $10 each.  Hours 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the FOTL Hall

November 25th—FOTL Bus Trip to Americas Largest Christmas Bazaar at Portland Expo Center.  Ticket cost $18.  Bus leaves FOTL Hall at 9:00 am returns 5:00 pm.

December 3rd—Friends’ Winter Carnival.  Santa and Friends will be there; lots of games for everyone.  Collection of Giving Tree Gifts.  Hours 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the FOTL Hall.
